General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for accommodation at Gästehaus Roensch (version applicable at the time of booking or use of the accommodation)

§ 1 Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts entered into by a guest when booking accommodation at Gästehaus Roensch, as well as all related services and supplies provided by the establishment.

Any terms and conditions proposed by the guest that differ from these shall not be accepted unless the host expressly agrees to them in writing.

§ 2 Conclusion of the Contract

An accommodation contract is concluded once the booking is confirmed by Gästehaus Roensch.

Confirmation can be provided electronically or in writing.

§ 3 Services, rates and payment

(1) Guests may use the accommodation they have booked for the agreed period.

(2) All prices are final and include bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and parking. Breakfast is not included and can be added for €12.90 per person per night.

(3) For direct bookings, payment is due as stated in the booking confirmation—in cash on arrival. For bookings made through a booking platform, that platform’s payment terms apply.

(4) Any additional services used on site must be paid for upon departure.

§ 4 Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is generally available from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Guests are asked to let us know their estimated arrival time in advance.

The accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure.

Any deviations from these times must be agreed with the guesthouse in advance.

§ 5 Cancellation and No-Show

(1) Guests may cancel free of charge up to and including 5 days before arrival.

(2) If the guest cancels later or does not arrive, they remain liable for the agreed accommodation price. The host allows a flat-rate 10% of the accommodation price for expenses saved and will not charge for breakfast booked as an add-on. If the accommodation can be let to someone else, the proceeds will be credited. The guest may provide evidence that no damage, or less damage, has occurred.

(3) For bookings made through a booking portal, the cancellation terms displayed at the time of booking apply.

(4) There is no statutory right of withdrawal for accommodation contracts (§ 312g (2) no. 9 German Civil Code (BGB)).

§ 6 House Rules

Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation.

Parties or events are not allowed.

Guests are asked to be considerate of other guests and the neighbours, especially during quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 06:00 am.

Pets are not allowed.

Any damage to or loss of items at the accommodation must be reported immediately.

§ 7 Guest responsibilities

The guest agrees to treat the accommodation and all its facilities with care and use them properly.

Please report any damage or malfunction to the host immediately.

Guests are liable for any damage or loss caused by themselves or their accompanying persons.

§ 8 Host’s liability

(1) The host is fully liable for injury to life, limb or health, and for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

(2) The host is liable for other damage caused by ordinary negligence only in the event of a breach of a material contractual obligation, the fulfilment of which is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on which the guest may regularly rely; in such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract.

(3) The statutory provisions (§§ 701 ff. BGB) apply to the guest’s belongings brought into the accommodation.

§ 9 Final provisions

Any changes or additions to these terms and conditions must be made in writing.

German law applies.

The place of performance and, where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is the location of the guesthouse.
